The Governor of Manouba, Mr. Mohamed Sheikh Roho, received the team of engineers from the Royal Scientific Society / National Energy Research Centre, accompanied by the Mayor of Manouba, Mr. Salim Ben Amara, and members of the Municipal Council on Thursday 17th March 2022.
The meeting which was attended by the first commissioner, Mr. Atef Al-Massy, discussed the areas of cooperation between Manouba Municipality and the Royal Scientific Society within (MINARET II) project, which aims for regional cooperation in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency to limit climate change and its negative effects on the environment.
During the visit, which lasted for three days, a number of meetings were held, discussions were held, and field visits were made to the municipality’s facilities, some social institutions and regional administrations, to get a closer look at their activities and the services they provide.
It was also agreed to develop and sign a cooperation agreement between the Royal Scientific Society and Municipality of Manouba.
MINARET II initiative is implemented in the context of the Nexus Regional Dialogues Programme, which is implemented by RSS on behalf of GIZ, and co-funded by the European Union (EU) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
